My very best friend
My heart is broken
It will never mend
The harshness of life
The cruelty of death
As I watched you fade
And take your last breath
But this vile disease
That rips families apart
Cannot remove
The love in my heart
The memories we have
Will keep me strong
While the journey of grief
Will be so very long
My darling Kev
You fought with such might
But the battle was endless
And you lost your fight
But I'll always have you
In so many ways
In memories, in photos
And the many happy days
I will not let it
Darken my life
